Posting Sparingly for a Month or So

I will not be around as much for about 2 to 3 months. Fish Fry is starting up pretty soon and other things going on. I will probably only post maybe once a week, possibly twice. Things should be back to normal in early April. I should be posting regularly again on there as well. Everybody take care! Nothing is wrong! I won't be around very much at the other place as well. I'll try to update once a week.

A Quiz Stolen From HD

You Are 60% Boyish and 40% Girlish

You are pretty evenly split down the middle - a total eunuch.
Okay, kidding about the eunuch part. But you do get along with both sexes.
You reject traditional gender roles. However, you don't actively fight them.
You're just you. You don't try to be what people expect you to be.

BTW, we won our intaurmural game by forfeit. But we did scrimmage with there oneguys, a member from another team, a sophomore from the team, and a varisty player. It doesn't count but I was on fire and I had 12 points.

Trinity (My School) vs. St. Xavier

We had our annual rivalry game tonight on Freedom Hall. We had beaten them two times in a row. Overtime in 2004 and by 20 something last year. This year they jumped all over us with a nice 14 point lead with 3:30 minuites left. We kept on fighting back. All of a sudden we hit a 3 with 3 seconds left to put us down by one. After each team took timeouts we fouled immeadiatley with 1,8 seconds left. It was a one on one. They missed it and we had to throw up a full court shot. What happened?

We missed it by a hair. It almost hit the rimb. St. X beat us but thats what rivalrys are all about.

I've got a game tomorrow at noon!

The Worst Class I've Ever Been In

This came up because at school, a Spanish teacher got extremely mad today. She now has a bad class. I have her but this is a different period. Were not using the books for a while in her class but one class is now. They're going back to the book tomorrow, my class isn't. I had her last for Spanish 1. And that class was the worst class she ever had. The story are crazy but I'll sum it up. The teacher is from Puerto Rico

This class was bad. We joked, made noises and LVOED to argue. We made her mad. She got frustrated. She yelled and got grumpy. She always said O.M.G. in spanish. The rest of the class did it. She tried to play games but someone always did something bad. We always b!tched to her and she got really pissed. The class had a lot of normally good students being bad for one period.

I was one of the better students. She always said some of use didn't deserve to suffer. I actually enjoyed it, it was quite humorus unfortunately. On final exam day, some fliped over 2 desks during the middl eof the exam. She was ready for this fourth period class to go. She said we were starving and thats why we were bad. She said I;m teaching all Spanish 2 and I have most of you back. Indeed she did.

She now has half of the class in one and the other half in the other. The bad class is right before lunch only 5th period this year. I am so ready to not enter this classroom EVER again. I hate this Spanish teacher. I have her last period, 8th.

She just doesn't know how to control classes.

Swoopy Mood!

I am in a swoopy mood today! I made my first ever swoop and my first ever swoop block.

On the other mood, I worked out today. I worked out for 30 minuites. It felt pretty good. I hope to loose 5 or 6 pounds a week!

UK plays Auburn tomorrow night down at there place.

My school Trinity plays St. Xavier this Friday in Freedom Hall. BEAT St. X! We aren't basketball schools. But both teams are in the top 25 for the frist time in a long time. My school is starting to become a basketball school. We were ranked #1 for most of the season last year. This year 7-8, but ranked 25th because we have by far the toughest schedule. We have played only one team that has a loosing record and we beat them 64-27. They're in our district so we had no choice. This matchup is the biggest high school rivalry in then nation in football but basketball, not so much. This game probably draws about 2000-4000 fans annually!

Go Rocks Beat St. X! Go Cats Beat the Tigers!

I'm Joinig a fitness Club

Because I am way over wieght. I gained all the weight in 2nd and 3rd grade because I grew about a foot in that year. I went from the smallest in my class to being an average height person. I hope to loose about9 90 pounds in the next year and a half. that would put me at 180.

NFL Playoff Picks

The AFC and NFC Championship game is here. I'm going to give you five tips for each team and the below put who I really think will win the game. My favorite team is the Steelers!

Go Steeler's! Take it to Detroit!

Pittsburg-Denver (AFC Championship Game)

Steeler's Keys
  • Control the ball.
  • Throw it to open up the running game.
  • Blitz every down.
  • Leave a spy out there at all times because Plummer can run.
  • No TURNOVERS

Bronco's Keys

  • Run, run, run, and run some more.
  • Do not let the Steelers beat you with the run.
  • Don't blitz or else you'll allow lots of passing yards.
  • Get the crowd into it.
  • Make sure you win the time of possecion battle.

My Picks

Pittsburg- 27 Denver-24 OT

Seattle-Carolina

Seahawk's Keys

  • Give Sean alexander 35-40 carries.
  • Throw it deep a couple of times.
  • Focus on getting to the QB.
  • Doubling Steve Smith
  • Win the field position battle

Panther's Keys

  • Throw it don't run it.
  • Throw to steve Smith at least 10-12 times.
  • Do not let alexander get a big play.
  • Watch out for the surprising deep pass.
  • Keep Seattle out of good field position.

My Picks

Seattle-10 Carolina-7

Its going to be a great weekend of football. BTW, In have an intaurmural baketball game at noon tomorrow. After UK plays I'm going to a friends house to watch UK get killed by the UCONN Huskies!

UK's Problems on the Court

So my Kentucky Wildcats have had a bad season so far. We've got problems. We can't shoot or do anything.

Tubby needs to go. We should of recruited Kentucky Blood Lofton whose now with Vols team. He could of been a huge boost for us this year. We don't have anybody shooting threes well.

Our offense is stale and we need to get back on track, Hopefully we win our 2nd straight on saturday when Cockeyheads of South Carolina invade Rupp Arena in Lexington.

Today

Today my school was on a delayed schedule. Instead of strating at 8, we started at 9:30. Woo and Hoo! I got extra sleep. Most school weren't on delayed. They said the Public and Catholic Schools should avoid rush hour do to some slick spoits (we got two inches of snow, Northernerns be queit). By the end of school today the snow had almost melted. Guess what tomorrows high is going to be? 61 freaking degrees. Wild Kentucky weather. And sunny. This is just CRAZY because were going to be in the mid 60's on Friday. What the hell is going on. Geez!

BTW, UK ended there 3 game loosing streak laqst night. Woo and Hoo! My high school basketball shocked a top ten team by 11 points. They've lost 9 games and have won 7. Heres the thing, we have lost in overtime four times this year and only one lost has been by more than five points.

Driving

Its a random post day. I want to talk about driving.

I've had my permit since August. I lvoe to be in control of the car. My parents say I am a pretty damn good driver. I have never been in an accident. I think driving is when your really able to get in control of the car. i hope to have my drivers license before Spring Break. I want to be able to drive to school next year. I like the freedom I have when i drive. you are in control of your destination. It is the greatest thing in the world.

So do you like to drive?

Monday, January 16, 2006

Woo Hoo!

The average temperatures can only go up now. The average temperature went up one degree today. Winter's end is in sight. Only about 70 days left. It felt like spring today. The temperatures hovered around 60 today. Tomorrow we start out at 60 and fall all the way down to the lower 40's by rush hour. Then tomorrow night we could see 1-3 inches of snow. Thats enough to call off school in Louisville.

I had a great weekend. I watched college basketball and played video games. I went to a friends house last night and stayed up till 5AM and played video games on his X-Box 360. I took a nap today.

On a somber note this is my last day off on a weekday until a month from today, when I get off for a five day weekend. Its a long streak but the good news is that after this streak is over the longest time we have without a dayoff is two weeks which is in May.

Intaurmural Basketball Begins

I play Intaurmural basketball at my school. We do the teams based on the "House System" The house system is just a fun way to do competitions through out the year. This one of them. I know your thinking they only do it in boarding schools, nope we are doing it in this regular school. It helps the frosh get around better. We have a huge campus. Anyway this about intaurmural basketball.

Tomorrows are first game. We have the easiest schedule in the league. They left off the best team on our schedule. they decided to put the three one win teams on our schedule. We have the exact same schedule as another house. The thing thats makes two of the team pissed, is we have not missed the final four yet. In a matter ofact its been the same four teams each year.

My team is probably the second smallest team in the league. We get ourebounded a lot. The one strength in, three point shooting. Every player except two hit ten threes last year. Those two aren't playing this year. I might have fallen to the last man because we have two former JV players comming on the team. But we have to play at least 10 minuites in each game or we forfeit. My team once hit 17 three pointers in a game. We came down from 22 points with 5 minuites left to tie it up and win in overtime. I will never forget that game. We have lost to two team every time. We've lost by thirty points or more against them. Thats one of the team we don't play this year.

We made the championship frosh year as the second to last seed and shocked two opponents. We made it all the way to the championship game. We lost by fourty four ooints in that game. Points to team we have lst to every single time. I think we'll have a 6-1 team. the other team that we loose to every single time has been five points or less every time including one that went into overtime.

OT mad me mad tonight.

So I decide to wander into the Global Warming thread. I post in my subject line that I am not convinced. So the person who hates Bush and beleives in global warming, says I need to do a little more info. Well here what ticked me off, I put I don't think Global warming affects our weather but I do belive is has an affect over the Izine layer. Well that person says I need to not look out the window and do reasearch to prove what I am saying. Can we respect people opinions, we don't know if Global warming is affecting our weather, well this person acts like they're 100% sure. I am just really pissed. I'll do some research. I want to say just because I am aginst something that you beleive doesn't always mean your right.

Sorry but I had some hurt feelings.

Physics

This class had the most jack-asses you will ever see. Its 4th period, only a couple of us have luch right after that period (me). The rest of them have lunch 6th period.

Well this class is WILD and I mean WILD. They talk, they talk back to the teacher. They complain and whine. They rant and crack unnecessary jokes. People have thrown other peoples stuff out the WINDOW. BTW this the third floor of my school.

The teacher has moved just about everyone once. He askes them why the hell they act like this everytime. Here are some of the excuses: "I hate school", "Its my parents who make me come to school", "School is stupid", "I don't need this shit", Yes the teacher let him away with this.

The fact is most of these people want to screw around. They could care less, well why don't you go to Shawnee or Atherton (two of the really bad schools around here), because your parents are paying 8,000 a year to go here. Its really bad, you can't hear the teacher. This is an EASY class because its the lowest program you can be in. Its where a normal Junior should be. All we have to do, is well not very much. We usually have 5-10 minuites of free time if it is a good day, you don't wanna know what a good day is.

How may of these kids will get into college out of the 27 students? My guess is 3 or 4. Most of the students say, I'm going to open my business since that's real easy. One of my ok friends is in there and he laughs and makes fun of them, saying they're going to be his garbage pickup men. (Well Mr. Immature, you better get those damn grades up before you go smaht talking.) Mr. Immature friend is participating in this as well.

I have to agree with him and it came out of my mouth today as well because it escalated so much the last few days, as someone said who cares, no one wants to work. He obviously smart enough to know that it isn't that easy. H want to study International business and study abroad. Good luck, but its going to be hard for Mr. Immature friend.

Anyway I am READY FOR THIS CLASS TO END, WE HAVE ONLY 20 MORE WEEKS LEFT, ARRRRRRRR! (Yes I an screaming.) So, what would you do to the class if you were in this situation? Don't even think about a lot of homework, cuz they won't do it and some of them are arlready going to Summer School. Thank you for listening to my rant, its an escalation, that's is only going to get worse.

Where is Winter? Woo and Hoo!

Geez have you seen the forecast for Louisville Kentucky lately. Are average high is 40 degrees but the next 10 days are suppose to be in at least low fifties. In fact Thursay we will be in the mid 60's and we will be close to 70 on Friday. This is March weather not January. But I lvoe this weather. Whats the weather like in your area.

BTW, UK is comming off its worst loss in 15 years and will be taking on the Vanderbilt Commodores from Nashville Tennesee in Rupp Arena in Lexington Kentucky.

The Future for ukrocks!

For the rest of my Junior year, I want to savor the moments. I want to realize that my time at Trinity is alost done. Its the beginning of an end. My English teacher said it starts tomorrow when we get information about out Senior ring. We reigster for classes next month. Then we have the ring ceremony in May. Then Summer and then the start of my Senior year. I am almost done with all my credits and next year will be a year of electives since you can't graduate early. Next year looks like it'll be a breeze.

What lies ahead of me in education? Well, I hope to go to college at UK or Western Kentucky. I want to become a sports writer and eventually become a sports collumnist. I hope to move down south or on the west coast, where its warm. I hope to have a family someday.

High School (The Final Segment of four)

So after eighth grade its time to move onto high school. I go to a private catholic high school. People frown upon the 4 big Catholic High Schools in Louisville. (Boys: Trinity, the one I go to, St. Xavier, Girls: Assumption, Sacred Heart.) Because they think its all about the athletics. But its really the education. Over 95% of the students who graduate from these four go on to college. Yeah these schools might 4 or 5 state championship but it all about hard work.

So my feshmen year beigns. It was very nerve racking. Schedules were weird. We were like oh why do I have an A and you have a B and its for the same period and subject. Its means alternating class. So you've got to figure out which classes you have each day. We weren't all in the same class anymore. In a matter of fact my friends were jealous of me because I had the perfect schedule. All honor and traditional frosh were suppose to have religion on B days. So they get resource two more times a year. Well except for a seventh period and third period class like me. So i got buisness more. My friends were also mad I had study hall during the last period while they had it in the morning.

The teachers freshmen year were cool except for one. My mean old religion teacher. She was mean and harsh. Grade wise: I made honor roll every quarter in forsh year.

I had two of the best teachers you could ever ask for, sophomore year. My history and english teacher. Both of them were 25. They taught like no other. They were both graduates of UK, but thats beside the pont. They talked about lif, fun and made sure we learned. They made sure we had a blast. My history teacher won teacher of the year.

But I also had the worst teacher ever at least for a half of a year. She did not grade well and she put notes on the overhead and you copied them. She didn't explain them. What did she teach? Religion. Two bad religion teachers. She was fired halfway thorugh the year. Our new teacher had just retired a year ago and had won four or five teacher of the year award. She was an excellent teacher like the two above. She knew about life and learning and having fun.

Grades: I made honor roll every quarter but the last one.

Junior years is starting to come to an end. We have begun the second semester but I'll save this post for June 1, the last day of school. It will be more comple then.

And I have decided to add a bonus for tomorrow. Whats the future ahead in education for ukrocks, read tommorow.

7th aand 8th Grade (Part 3 0f 4)

So here wo go to my new school. This school helps kids with learning dissabilties. I was nervous and worried because I had been at my other school 7 years. But it might of been the best move of my life.

I start seventh grade and I only knew one person. He had been at my old school and we knew him very well. he kinda help0ed me get settled into the place.

7th grade was a new light for me. Grades very quickly improved and I was actually learning. The teachers were helpful. I hardly ever forgot my homework anymore and my mood changed. My grades wnt from barely passing to A's and B's. I was learning things I thought I would never be able to get.

8th grade was the beggining of an end. It was my last year of grade school. I was still there and I continued to do very well. I did getin trouble once for throwing a piece of paper into a garbage can. I had an awesome year. On the hardest report you'll ever had there. She said that highest grade she ever had from the middle program was a 95. She was saying you can do just as good as the higher program where she had grades 100-110 percent range. She gave 16 bonus points. Well when she starts to hand back papers, she said "don't jump up and down when you look at your grade." I was the last one to get it and I'll never forget this moment. The grade was an 116%. She then said you might have heard about four people get a 116% in the other class. That was the first time I had ever been to give that high of a score. She like you all got one too. I did. I still was in shock. I was very happy.

A couple of weeks later it was time to say good bye. While I was there only for two years. They got me ready for high school, and got me back on track.

Later tonight i'll have the final segment. (But that'll be at like 2AM.

K-6 at my parish school (Part 2 of 4)

I'll probably finish the whole story later on today. (Saturday)

So off to Kindagrten adn then to frst grade at my Catholic school which is only a couple of blocks away. I went here till sixth grade and probably my best moments were here. The school goes up to 8th grade but to find out why I wasn't there till eight grade, you'll have to read.

My class was the largest in history. But the bad thing is, we had 24 boys and 9 girls for first grade. After that things calmed down and by fourth grade, we only had 29 students. We had 18 boys now and 11 girls. This class was considered one of the most special because we got a suspicious package in 2nd grade while preparing for first communion. It gave us clues and Goosebumps was a very popular book at the time. We kept on getting Goose Bump stuff at our meetings. The days before our first communion we got a gold cup for the wine, which we still use today for communion. It is now 9 years old.

It said continue to be nice to each other. My class never had a fight until sixth grade. We were very close. Everybody thought everybody was cool. Nobody was mean to anyone. We all cracked up jokes and people were calling this class the best they've seen in years. Apparently the class before and after us were both considered one of the worst. Well we are all very close, didn't have anybody come into our class since third grade until sixth grade when we add another student. She was a jerk. Everybody hated her. She was mean and rude. She took stuff. I was actually the center of attention once.

Our sixth grade teacher took us on many field trips. We went to a Bats baseball game and I caught a foul ball. So i'm sitting there with the group I was assigned with and I accidently droipped it. She runs over and tries to steal it. The teacher caught her and was very angry. Simply we were tossing the ball around. She was gone after sixth grade.

My grades were perfect till third grade. In third grade, I started to show problems. I wasn't organized, I was getting bad grades. In fourth grade we thought it went away because my grades improved significantly. But they went back down in fifth grade. i was getting tutored during the Summer since i was having problems. My parents thought I wan't trying. Insixth grade I hit rock bottom and I mean I hit rock bottom. I almost failed sixth grade. My parents were going to get me tested for Summer School for learning dissability kids.
So I go in and take a test. It was oral and strange things happened. They said I was where they're going into seventh graders were. My parents were like wow. They said I wasn't accepted into Summer School but accepted into going to school there during the school year. Here what surprised my parents: I was the first person ever to take the spelling test and complete it. They stop if you miss ten in a row. To this day I am the only person to have done that. Bad news though, I could hardly do any math. But they could help me. And you'll see how my life changed once I went there.

My Life in School (Part 1 of 4)

Since my "true" school days will be comming to an end in the next 18 months, I would like to share with you my days in Grade School and High School. You'll hear about my first two friends.

I started out Kindagarten at Louisville Deaf Oral Schoo, since I have 80% hearing loss in my left ear and 60% hearing loss in my right ear. I've been deaf all my life and I wear a hearing aid. People are surprised that three of us in my class were told we could go to a regular school and be successful. The other 8 were probably on their way to Kentucky School for the Deaf.

The funny thing is that three of us were the only ones who could talk real well, so they got a head start on us. Most kids spend two years in Kindagarten at LDOS. Us three did, but we had a half day at our grade schools. (We were all Catholic and went to private schools) So we would spend the morning at our grade school and then the rest of the day at LDOS except for me since my school didn't start at 7:30 and end at 2. We started at 8:10 and ended at 3 so I went back to school for story hour. They made sure my bus left first.

Well my parents would see the girl parents every now and then. We played soccer against each other once. It was a Co-ed league since most schools didn't have an all girl or boy. So I ended up playing against her once. But it wasn't a buddy buddy relationship with either of them.

The boy who was my buddy, we didn't see for the rest of grade school. Until one day, on the day freshmans were registering and getting books, my Mom is like is that Shane (his name) I was like shit. We talk a little bit but we have our own friends now. I've been in his Math class all three years.

What a hecuva kindagarten. Being at two schools for a half a day. The next one will probably be out late tonight at like 1 or 2 since it is a weekend.

A Happy Post!

It was beautiful outside today. It got up to 62 degrees with clear skies. But at about 5:00, the cold front moved in and now its 45 degrees with a chance of rain and snow tomorrow. Oh the Kentucky weather. On the good side, we warm back into the mid to upper 50's for the weekend.

I am happy because I am going to the UL-Villanova game tomorrow night. Go Villanova!

I also enjoyed having resource for the first time since last year. Last semester was the first time I didn't have resource. I didn't have study hall for the first semester. But it was a little weird because I've had resource 8th (the last period) every year till now. I have it second period. I got my Math homework done in there. And, then I slept for the rest of the period.

It was fun seeing everybody back from the holidays. Coach O (English Teacher) said if you didn't enjoy the 18 day weekend, then your out of luck. He was saying in five month, you'll get your break. He said the time will fly. It was a day to get back into the routine. Of course for some of the classes, it was like first day, since it was the start of the second semester.

Juniors are busy busy for these next two weeks. We learn about Senior Rings and order them next week. We have Cambirdge testing next Wednsday to prepare for the ACT. Then parents come in and here the counselors and principal speak about our last three semesters here. We will have a couple days in English learning about the college process process at the end of this month. With all this stuff going on, I am in a good mood!

Its the last day of Christmas Break *sniff*

Theres a rant in here too. Oh btw my sister's school was the first school to go back from Christmas Break, Today everybody goes back except my school, who doesn't go back till tomorrow. Of course this is a day off because we won State in football.

I've gotta go back to school tomorrow. Its the beginning of the second smester. January and all the way to mid February, we only have one day off that isn't the weekend and thats Martin Luther King Jr. Day. After Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I have to wait a month and then I get a five day weekend from 2/17-2/21.

I wish they would spread them out more because in March we get a three day weekend every other week. And then comes Spring Break. A week later we get a three day weekend. Then a two weeks later we get another three day weekend. Then three weeks later we get out for the Summer. So after this streak of about a month of regular school weeks. I start getting off for a bunch of three day weekends and then Summer shows up.

Goldie is pissing me off.

She put a fvcking comic thread out there. Damn you Goldie. I saw some peeps stop her but she bumped the dam thread up. I want to send her a nasty PM but I know I would get banned so I won't.

I remember when I first got there I bumped a thread from about a month ahead, and a poster sent me e-mail saying it was disrespectfuly. I have never bumped anything again. Can someone do that to Goldie? im know mine would be too nasty so I will not send one.

It is a New Year!

Happy New Years everybody! Below me is my year 2005 in review.

Here is my days I am ready for in 2006

*drum rolls*

Februray 11- I can get my drivers license on this day but it closed since it s a Saturday. I'll be able to drive by myself and not have to have my parents take me everywhere. I'll take the ACT test for the first time.

February 22- My 18th birthday. I will register to vote, so I can vote in May!

April 3-7- I will visit UK, Western Kentucky and possibly Murray State. (spring break)

April 22- Thunder Over Louisville- the biggest firework show in the world. It takes 45 minuites to an hour to do. I is an amazing way to kick off the Kentucky Derby Festival. (yes peeps we celebrate for 2 weeks!)

May 5-7- Kentucky Derby Weekend. I get a three day weekend and party on Friday and Saturday!

May 10- I get my senior ring. Yep high school goes by fast, at least for me.

June 1- My last day of school.

June 24- off to Cahrleston with my Dads side of the family for vacation.

August something- Senior year starts. My school doesn't set a date till January. They like to see what other schools are doing since we are the only school controlled by the Archidiocese. Thats why are schedules are more like the grade school calendar year. My sister will be a frosh and her school arlready has a date setup like all the other Catholic High schools.

November- Go off to Manhattan Kansas to celebrate Thanksgiving.

December- Celebrate the holdays with friends and family.
