Sping Break is Near!

With a lot of people off for spring break, i think about the state of Kentucky. It is stupid how we have spring break only 6 weeks before we get out of school for the Summer. Right now all the teachers have major projects right now before everybody gets distracted because they will get nothing done in April and May with the Kentucky Derby Festival and all that fun stuff in Kentucky. So right now I am trapped with all this school work and stuff like that. I will probably be back to blogging everyday on Tuesday of my spring break after returning of college trips. I am so excited that techinically theres is only 2 more weeks of hard work! Spring break starts in two weeks!

March? Wow Time has gone by Fast!

This is a reflection of high school.

I can't beleive the school year is ending in 2 and a half month. It has gone by too fast. I will be entering my final year of high school next year. It has been to quick.

Freshman Year

I still remember being that freshmen who is clueless where they are. I have some fond memories of freshman year. Eating lunch at 10:55 and being pushed around on days when there was no time between lunches. I remember freshmen retreat because we had it on our 5th day of school.

My 2 fondest memories of freshmen year?

It has to be winning state in football after starting 0-4. Then the big one.

Winning regionals in basketball. That meant we got to play in Rupp in the sweet 16. We won our 1st game against a small school. Us juniors and seniors say who can forget the memories of throwing up newspaper in the air. I will never forget that on the first day because we won by 22 points and it was a great feeling. Two days later we were up against Mason County, #1 in state and had Tennesee star Chris Lofton. Everybody said we had no chance. It went into 3 Overtimes and Chris Lofton hit a game winning three pointer with 3.8 seconds left. We lost by one.

I made honor roll all four quarters in Frosh year.

Intaurmural Basketball, we made it to the championship with a 7 seed out of 10 teams. We lost by 33 in the championship but still we are the cinderella team of that class as you'll find out later.

Sophmore Year

It was a rough year athletically, not winning state in football for the first time in three years and not making past the second round since 1988. It was a stunner as we lost our second game to an opponet who would loose 63-0 a week later to a team we beat 56-14.

Our basketball team was #1 in the state and a team in our own region was #2 in state. We did not get to go back to Rupp as we won the Louisville Invatational and we won the Bank tournament in Lexington. We lost in the regional final four by 1 point.

My intaurmural basketball team was the #6 seed out of 8 teams. We made it to the final four and lost on a buzzer beater to the eventual champions.

My religion teacher was fired midway throught the year for making 80% of the people fail.

I missed honor roll in the last quarter while making it on all the others.

Junior Year

Athleticall, we have done the upsetting.

In football we beat our rivals in the state title games after loosing to them 48-16.

Basketball was a wild season. We beat #2 and #4 in the state as we played 22 ranked teams in our state out of 27 games. We finshed 14-13 by loosing by 18 in the the Regional 16. We lsot 11 top scorers from last year. We had two guys returning on Varsity, and they carried the team. Next year we have 8 players retunring.

Intaurmural basketball, my team was only one of four teams to make the tournament. All the other 6 forfeited at least 2 games. The tournament: we won because of a double forfeit in the semifinals while we beat our opponet on a layup with 5 seconds left.

Junior year to be Continued.............

Spring is in Site!

I beleive Louisville Kentucky is in its last cold spell of the season. Which is temps in the mid 40's or so. Cuz I looked at the 10 day forcast, I see 69 degrees on three days and 62 on the other.

Louisville is ready for spring but welcome in the severe weather. We are a hot spot for tornadoes. But I like thunderstorm. I can't beleive winter is over. The hot and humid days will be here by the end of next month.

Wish my high school basketball team luck as we are trying to get to the Sweet 16 for the second time in school history. We came 2nd in our district tourney. We then start the regional tourney this week. I don't think we will make it to the regions final four because we have 8 juniors on the team this year.

Thee thing about our region is we have the best teams in the state. Last my team played our district rivals in the regional final four. We were #1 and #2 and we are one of four teams in our districts. Seneca always fielded #8 in the state and saw there season came to an last year in district play.

This year our rivals were 18th in the state while we were 25th in the state with the toughest schedule in the sate. 18 of our 27 games were against ranked teams. We lost to our rivals for the 8th time in a row. Meanwhile Seneca had a loosing record for the first time since my 8th grade year. Its aint that strong this year.

Kentucky high school basketball is special because every team has a chance no matter what you record is. I hope my school pulls of several upsets on the way and maybe make the regional finals against St. X. A Catholic school regional finals. The thing is this the first time they hit 10 wins since 1997. They are 3 ws away from 20 which would be the first time since 88.

That Abortion Thread

I was afraid to post on the abortion thread. I do have a different viewpoint than most of you. I just was too nervous but I am going to post about it here and give me your thoughts on whether you could accept this or not.

I am against abortion. I think you should not be allowed to have an abortion unless you have a health problem or was in a life threatning situation. I, then think you may have an abortion.

For rape I think it should be the women choice. The guy should may not choose what so ever. If the girl says go along and have the baby or if the women doesn't want to have it let it be.

People who have sex just the heck of it. It is your own fault. You are warned of the dangersa and you should have to suffer the consequences. I think you know enough about it so you should have to deal with it. Its there fault.

I think abortion is sad but I think you do it just because you like it you should have to have the baby.

I'm not calling any of you all pro death but i feel that if the person who sex and knew they were doing it well they should have to deal with it because of their own careless mistake. I mean I would hope they would understand that they knew what it did.

I do see the other side about abortion. Yes the US is a free country and you can do whatever you want. I understand that they are the ones with the body and it is their life. I understand that they also might have to deal with a lot of emotions. I have an aunt who had a baby and they had to let it be adopted because they can barely live on the money they have for 5 kids.

This is just my take on the situation, please reply I do want to know what your point is.
