Driving

Its a random post day. I want to talk about driving.

I've had my permit since August. I lvoe to be in control of the car. My parents say I am a pretty damn good driver. I have never been in an accident. I think driving is when your really able to get in control of the car. i hope to have my drivers license before Spring Break. I want to be able to drive to school next year. I like the freedom I have when i drive. you are in control of your destination. It is the greatest thing in the world.

So do you like to drive?

When I was younger, I used to love to drive everywhere! I would fill up the tank, grab a bunch of cassettes (that's those old fashioned music thingy's *wink*) and drive everywhere. Lately, I drive too much, so I only do it when I have to. The kids have to get back and forth to school and practices and work and things, plus I have to drive to work. I suppose, one day, when I don't have all of that running around to do, I will drive for pleasure a lot more!

Enjoy it UK! I love to just drive around to see where a road will take me.

At this point in my life, even if the car is in the driveway, I'll walk if I can get there in 20 minutes. Really.

But! When I was young and just had my license, I was like vols. There were a lot of interesting backroads in the area where I grew up. I used to just drive around, learning different ways to get to the same places. Getting lost on purpose.

Those were the days.

I like to drive, but Chris usually does all the driving. He's a control freak...don't become that way. Other people are quite capable of driving, too.

My #1 tip for learning drivers is to ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION! Don't change cds, don't futz around with food, phones, etc. I think THAT is the biggest part of being a good driver. Most accidents I had could've been prevented by slowing down & paying more attention.

Glad you are a safe driver, uk!

Stay safe. Nothing beats experience. And drive defensively.

Echo what Weltek and Puffy said.

However, if your parents say you are a good driver, that's a good thing.

I got my license very late in life. I'm terrified of driving but I do it when I have to. DH & I work together so when he's in town, he usually does the driving. It's only about a 10 min drive though so I don't mind that. I just hate highways.

Good luck with getting your license and drive safely!!!
